Ragnhildur Geirsdóttir

CEO

Ragnhildur was employed as the CEO of Reiknistofa bankanna in January 2019. Ragnhildur came to RB from WOW air where she was employed as Deputy Managing Director from August 2017. Before Ragnhildur was employed by WOW air, she was the Director of Operations and IT at Landsbankinn for five years and Managing Director of Promens for over five years. Before that, Ragnhildur worked for Icelandair/Flugleiðir for six years and had risen to the position of CEO by the end of that time. Ragnhildur holds degrees in engineering and business administration. She completed a CS degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from the University of Iceland in 1995 and has an MS in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin in 1996 and an MS in business administration from the same school in 1998.

Jón Helgi Einarsson

VP of the Software Department

Jón Helgi became VP of the Software Department, formally Kjarnalausnir, in October 2016. He was previously the Director of Project Management and Consultancy at RB. Before that, he worked for Advania hf. and its predecessors, e.g. as a Director for Advania, CEO of HugarAx hf., Director at Ax hugbúnaðarhús hf. and CEO of Kerfi hf. Prior to these positions, Jón Helgi worked on software projects for Kögun hf. in the US and in Iceland. Jón Helgi has an MS degree in engineering from Purdue University in the US and a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Iceland.

Þorsteinn Björnsson

VP of Technology Development

Þorsteinn Björnsson began working as the VP of Technology Development (formerly Technology Management) in October 2016. Prior to that, he was the Director of the Business Development and Consultancy Division, or from when RB purchased a major part of Teris in June 2012, where he had been working since 1997, most recently as its CEO from mid-2011. Before that, he was employed as the Director of the Development Division from 2007, Division Manager of the Development Division from 2005 and as Team Leader of Self-Service Solutions. He completed his final thesis in collaboration with TVÍ regarding the construction of the first Internet banking solution of the savings banks which was launched in 1995. Þorsteinn worked for Radíómiðun hf. from 1995–1997 on the adoption of automatic tracking aids in ships and during 1990–1994 as an electrician. Þorsteinn completed his BSc degree in computer sciences from Reykjavík University in 2005 and graduated as a systems analyst from TVÍ in 1995. He graduated with an electrician’s journeyman’s degree from Iðnskólinn í Reykjavík (Technical School in Reykjavík) in 1991.
